Gowri Thummala, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist who began her medical career journey in India and completed her residency training at the University of Central Florida. She brings a wide range of experience treating mental health conditions, including unipolar depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. She has a particular interest in supporting individuals living with depression, anxiety, and ADHD.
Dr. Thummala’s background includes work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as advanced treatments such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and esketamine therapy. She also holds a certification in reproductive psychiatry through Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Thummala believes every person’s path to healing is unique. Her approach is collaborative—working closely with her patients to explore treatment options that best fit their needs, with the shared goal of finding meaningful relief and renewed hope.
Outside of work, you’ll often find her playing with her three dogs, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, or getting lost in a good book. From September through February, though, she’s a devoted NFL fan—go Bucs!
