Kelsey Shea, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is an ANCC board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with experience treating a wide range of mental health conditions in children/adolescents and adults.

Kelsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Columbus State University and earned her Master of Science in Nursing, PMHNP from Walden University.

A large portion of Kelsey’s early nursing career was spent in ICU units, along with time in other specialties such as hospice care. During that time, she developed a deep appreciation for life and the importance of supporting patients through uncertainty. This experience shaped her empathetic, compassionate approach to care. Kelsey takes a holistic view, integrating mind, body, and lifestyle. She works collaboratively with patients to identify contributing factors, personalize treatment plans, and manage medications appropriately. Kelsey believes that building trust and comfort is central to empowering patients on their path to healing and hope.

Outside of work, you will most likely find Kelsey spending time in nature, whether it be taking a walk or working in the yard.

We’re proud to share that our three affiliated practices—Psych Atlanta, Georgia Psychiatry & Sleep, and Roots Behavioral Health—are now part of the Hightop Health family. While each clinic has built its own legacy of trusted care, we’re taking the next step forward—bringing everything together under the Hightop Health name.

This change is part of our commitment to creating a premier, clinician-led outpatient mental health group that sets a new standard for comprehensive, compassionate care. Though the brand is evolving, nothing about your experience is: same expert teams, same innovative treatments, same personalized approach. Now unified by a single mission—to deliver better mental health care that inspires hope and lasting healing.

This transition won’t affect your care—but it will enhance the way we show up, work together, and serve communities across Georgia, Texas, and beyond.
