Nathan Tyson, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is an ANCC board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with experience treating a wide range of mental health conditions in children/adolescents and adults.  He has a particular interest in supporting individuals with anxiety, ADHD and mood disorders.

Nathan earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield CT and earned his Masters of Science in Nursing/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Walden University in Minneapolis MN.

Nathan understands that the decision to seek help for mental health needs can be a nerve-wracking and scary process. When it comes to patient care, Nathan is most passionate about the preservation of dignity in his patients. His approach is to meet fear or nervousness with acceptance, encouragement, and knowledge. It is of upmost importance to Nathan that his patients feel seen, heard, and held when they leave a visit.

Nathan’s approach to care is patient- centered and psychology-minded. You’ll explore the domains that make us up as people and discuss, together, how to best treat each of the areas that might require it.

In his spare time, you will most likely find Nathan playing basketball, running, trying new restaurants and taking his pup to the dog park!

We’re proud to share that our three affiliated practices—Psych Atlanta, Georgia Psychiatry & Sleep, and Roots Behavioral Health—are now part of the Hightop Health family. While each clinic has built its own legacy of trusted care, we’re taking the next step forward—bringing everything together under the Hightop Health name.

This change is part of our commitment to creating a premier, clinician-led outpatient mental health group that sets a new standard for comprehensive, compassionate care. Though the brand is evolving, nothing about your experience is: same expert teams, same innovative treatments, same personalized approach. Now unified by a single mission—to deliver better mental health care that inspires hope and lasting healing.

This transition won’t affect your care—but it will enhance the way we show up, work together, and serve communities across Georgia, Texas, and beyond.
